due to disabilities. They are 72 and 49,
bachelors in separate and individual homes. She’s shown great patience and
compassion in helping them better organize their homes. Her emphasis has been on teaching and
coaching them rather than doing the task.
"Over the eighteen years we have known Toni, she assisted several elderly clients, showing genuine care for their feelings and health issues. So when my mother-in-law came to live with us, we did not hesitate to ask Toni if she would be willing to drive her to appointments and to the senior center to meet new people, and get some exercise. My mil's dementia could make her very stubborn, but Toni showed great patience and understanding with her. She quickly grew to love Toni, and always looked forward to their time together.
Toni would help her complete simple errands such as going to the drugstore, or having her hair styled, then have lunch with her. With dementia, appetites often lag. Toni would gently encourage her to eat a good lunch, and usually succeeded. Toni was meticulous about giving us comprehensive reports on their time together, which helped us immensely in assessing how well she functioned away from us. We had regular conversations with Toni about my mil's mental and physical health.
This aided us in assessing when it was time for my mil to go to Assisted Living. Toni helped her with the transition, and even went to visit on her own personal time to ease her transition. We have the highest respect for Toni's professionalism, her ethics, and the loving care she extends to all the people she comes into contact with. We highly recommend her services."
